Project Goal

To issue notifications of random inspection on dynamometer to the owners of large/small diesel-fueled passenger/cargo vehicles that are registered as failure to pass visual exhaust test or reported by citizens for excessive exhaust, in order to improve the air quality of Yilan.
To maintain, improve and establish the hardware and software equipments in the existing exhaust testing station.
To introduce computer system in the entire testing process for real-time display of results, automatic result printouts, and to provide statistic analysis on the testing results for suggestions.
To maintain and update vehicle registration database and test record database, as well as the network connection between the testing station and the Bureau.
To promote the testing operations as a cooperative effort for propaganda.
To help the passenger and cargo services in the jurisdiction for pollution improvement programs and to establish files for management.
To ensure the quality assurance procedure of the Bureau’s diesel vehicle dynamometer exhaust testing station for better testing quality.
To summarize the results of diesel-fueled vehicle pollution source control within the jurisdiction.
